A centre for people whose lives cross cultures

The Intercultural Mental Health & Resilience Research Centre (IMRC) brings together psychotherapy, community programs, clinical supervision and professional training.

Mission & Intercultural Approach

Green hillside with scattered trees and wildflowers

To nurture the next generation of values-oriented, culturally grounded therapists

And to strengthen resilience in the communities we serve.

We support intercultural couples and families, children and youth, and seniors. We pay special attention to biracial and multiracial children and teens growing up between cultures, and to the mental health of therapists themselves. We also offer spiritually integrated counselling that respects each person's values and religion.

We bring a spirit of compassion, respect for nature and animals, and a commitment to community into everything we do. Through public mental health workshops, ongoing community programs, and community support, we work to build a more peaceful world across cultures.
